Good equipment deserves a second life.
RePurpose Aid connects unused disability and aged care equipment with the people who need it - safely, fairly, and without the risk of trading with strangers.
How it works
-
Tell us what you have. We'll assess it and list it if it's a good fit. No cost, no commitment until we have a buyer.
-
We handle all enquiries, assess needs, agree on pricing, and coordinate everything between both parties.
-
The right piece of equipment reaches someone who needs it - at a fair price, in good condition, with confidence on both sides.
Why we exist
A lot of equipment sits unused in garages and spare rooms after a loved one passes or a need changes. At the same time, many people are waiting weeks or months for the right piece of equipment or simply can't afford it new.
RePurpose Aid was built to bridge that gap. We manage the process so equipment gets properly assessed, fairly priced, and passed on to someone who needs it. Not just listed and forgotten on a Facebook group.
Why RePurpose Aid?
-
You can - and many people do. But disability and aged care equipment is different from selling a couch.
The person buying it is often in a vulnerable situation. They might be recovering from a stroke, managing a degenerative condition, or caring for someone who is frail or elderly. A bad transaction, wrong equipment, unsafe item, no recourse can have real consequences.
We inspect every item before listing it. We're insured. We manage the entire transaction. And unlike a private seller on Facebook, we're a business you can come back to if something isn't right.
For sellers, it's also simpler. No dealing with random enquiries, no haggling with strangers, no organising pickup with people who don't show up. -
RePurpose Aid was founded by Allied health professionals with years of experience in disability and aged care. We understand this equipment because we've used it clinically and we know what good condition looks like, what safe looks like, and what questions to ask.
We're not a tech platform or a marketplace. We're a small, hands-on business that cares about getting this right. -
Yes. RePurpose Aid holds appropriate insurance cover. Every item we list has been assessed by our team before being made available. We take the safety of our buyers seriously. It's the foundation of what we do.
